Triveni Group started way back in 1954 as a steel products brokerage company in Mumbai. Led by principles of prudent business, the family owned enterprise ventured into manufacturing of steel by 1966 by setting up Steel Rolling Mill in Bhavnagar Gujarat.
As an endeavour of expanding the steel business by backward integration, Triveni set up the ship recycling facility at Plot no. 23 at Alang in 1985. Since then, we have been consistently engaged in the holy work of recycling end-of life ships & vessels. Over the years, we have been able to develop sustainable business processes & sound recycling practices for our yard.
“Love me a little, but forever…” We strive to conduct all our business based on this goal. All our stakeholders including sellers/owners, cash-buyers, bank, local authorities, workers, customers, contactors, transporters along with other recycling yards can appreciate this fact by our approach and actions.
Our yard is a Hong Kong Convention compliant facility for Ship Recycling since 2017, certified by Class NK. We have voluntarily adopted this in favor of Responsible practices in ship recycling, long before it’s entry into force. This exemplifies our commitment to safe & environmentally sound recycling practices.
Our business is also certified by Bureau Veritas for Integrated Management Systems, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 30000:2009.
We do honour and emphasize on compliant business by whole-hearted adoption of global standards along with national laws and statutes to remain sustainable for desired goal of ‘Responsible Recycling’. We honestly try to provide all services with motto of ‘Price & Performance’.
We as a team believe in "Safety First & Environment Always" by principle. We have developed our Ship Recycling Facility Plan (SRFP) with this principle as our guiding beacon. As every ship is a new & individual project, we are always keen on recognizing risks(to workers & environment) during the process and develop mitigation plans for those risk outcomes.
We actively look to recognize and adopt practices which lead to safer work and operations at the yard, both for our workers & our surrounding environment.
All ships which we recycle at our yard, are required to have a valid & updated Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM). If not provided by the sellers, we make sure we get one made by competent personnel before we start our recycling process. This helps us ensure what kind of hazardous materials are present on board which in turn guides our HSE team on yard to plan for safe demarcation, removal, storage and disposal as per applicable norms. We aim to ensure no worker at our yard or our surrounding environment is harmed by such hazardous material on board.
We undertake recycling only after an Ship Specific Recycling Plan (SSRP) is prepared for the vessel. This ensures our team to map and understand the various structures to be cut off from the vessel considering safety and capacity of our material handling shore cranes.
